Teresa was born and bred in Paisley and Howwood, Renfrewshire. She spent ten years as a nurse specialising in spinal medicine in London and Cambridgeshire before deciding to retrain as an osteopath, qualifying with a first class honours degree in Osteopathy from the British School of Osteopathy in 1998.

​

She has had a wide range of experience within osteopathy both in the UK and overseas, has experience with working along side spinal physicians and orthopaedic surgeons and has been involved in the clinical education of undergraduate osteopaths. She has post-graduate qualifications in the treatment of children and Medical Acupuncture.
